If you want to Experience God in your life, you can’t be caught up in comparing yourself to others.
We do this in two distinct ways.
Sometimes we can look at a person who seems so much more “spiritual” than us. We see their highlight reel and compare it to our lowlight reel. This leads to doubting our faith, doubting our talents, doubting God’s ability to do something in our lives. Continue reading

I used to have severe panic attacks; my life was altered because of them. I missed huge amounts of school, I quit several jobs and I was more or less paralyzed by anxiety. My goal became avoidance. We assume that all of us who follow Jesus are following the real Jesus.
While we all trust the work of the real Jesus and we read the words of the real Jesus, I doubt all of us, including me follow Him at all times. To experience God, we must get to know the Son, who is the exact representation of His father.
