31 DAYS TO A BETTER PRAYER LIFE | DAY 8: FREEDOM THROUGH FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is not an easy thing for any of us.  When we have been hurt we have a natural response that wants to hurt those that have hurt us.  We know in our hearts that the other person deserves justice and not forgiveness.  Yet, the disciples are told when they pray that they should only seek God’s forgiveness if they have extended forgiveness to those that had hurt or offended them. He is a God that is all knowing, all seeing, and and always present.  Nothing takes him by surprise, he sees what is done in secret, and he is not limited by time or space.  He holds the past, present, and future in his hands. Continue reading

When Jesus walked the Earth he gave us a great example for consistency in prayer.  These versus record him getting away so that he could speak to and hear from his father in heaven. Continue reading
