If there is one person that I greatly respect, its Anonymous.
Anonymous has to be the most quoted person in history.
So full of wisdom and creativity, Anonymous is famous in so many cultures.
Ok, getting serious, you don’t have to be a President or Minister to pray great prayers. Prayer is simply a conversation with God, there is almost no way to mess it up. We can learn about prayer from great men and women, from Biblical characters or just an anonymous person who happened to write down there conversation with God.
Here is a simple prayer to pray while starting your day:
This is another day, O Lord. I know not what it will bring forth, but make me ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely. If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly. If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently. And if I am to do nothing, let me do it gallantly. Make these words more than words, and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen.
-Anonymous
It’s a good idea to pray at any time of the day. It’s a great idea to pray early in the day. It prepares your mind and heart for the day ahead.
Especially if you are new to prayer, try to pray early in the day. Ask God to direct and inspire you. It very well may make your day better than it could have been otherwise.
To God, there is no Anonymous, He knows us all by name, He knows us personally and loves us unconditionally. Begin a conversation with Him, you won’t regret it.
