With the way our world is today, it may be hard to understand that God is still at work.

Pain, suffering, wars, sickness and the stress of everyday life can cause us to forget that God is doing things in our world. He not only is there to hear our prayers but Jesus said in John 5:17 “…My Father is always working, and so am I.”

Why do bad things happen? That’s a great question and there are many answers to it, but don’t let that keep you from praying.

If we take Jesus at His word “God is always working”, then we can not only ask God to intervene in a situation. We can also ask Him to show us what He is already doing in that situation. We can pray for a certain person and also ask our Father to show us what He is doing in that person’s life right now. Maybe that will help us know how we can help that person.

Take comfort in the fact that no matter what is going on, God is still working.

And may this be a fact in your life. No matter what is going on, you’re still praying.
