31 Powerful PrayersSpring would be my favorite time of year if it wasn’t for allergies. It’s beautiful and alive. It seems the world has awoken from sleep. It reminds us that new life is all around us.

Other than the watery eyes and sneezing, its perfect.

May you have the same mindset we find in this powerful prayer.

How blessed is this day, when earth and heaven are joined and humankind is reconciled to God!

May the light of Jesus shine continually to drive away all darkness.

May Christ, the Morning Star who knows no setting, find his light ever burning in our hearts—he who gives his light to all creation, and who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

31-Powerful-Prayers.jpgIn my opinion, one of the most powerful pictures we get to see in the bible is the recorded events of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane.  If you recall, Jesus went there to pray shortly before being betrayed by Judas.

During this time of intense prayer the burden of his crucifixion weighed heavily on him.  It is the most intimate glimpse we have of Jesus’ humanity. Continue reading →
